Establish the scenario
Ask what product or service you are representing and what the interviewer wants you to demonstrate. Confirm whether you should treat the conversation as a first meeting or a later discussion. Keep clarification concise so there is time for the exercise.
Explore the need
Ask a few questions that help you understand priorities and constraints. Listen to the response and connect your explanation to what was said. Avoid delivering a memorized presentation that ignores the scenario.
Handle uncertainty honestly
If you do not know a product fact, say what you would verify. Do not invent capabilities, prices, or guarantees to keep the conversation moving. Explain how you would obtain an accurate answer and follow up.
Close with a next step
Summarize the need and suggest an appropriate next action. Afterward, ask for feedback and describe what you would improve. A thoughtful reflection can show coachability without pretending the exercise was perfect.
